West Coast STYLE 

After relocating from California to Northern Virginia, this young family of four wanted to translate their new house into a space that felt more personal and was designed in the West Coast style they loved. Their wish list included details like warm wood accents, modern furnishings, sofas to lounge on and handmade rugs. They wanted gathering spaces that would seat their large extended family. We carried a relaxed California sensibility throughout the design, layering soft textures, natural materials, and a soothing moody palette throughout. We also helped them create dedicated spaces for organizing kids’ art projects and school work, family photos, and mementos. The finished spaces are cozy, comfortable and feel personal, thoughtful and very much like home.
