FALL ART FESTIVALS: 2022
Hello my stylish friends! If you’re like me, you’re probably a little bummed right now that Summer is coming to an end. Lucky for us, Fall is such an amazing season, too. (Cute sweater weather time!!)
One autumn highlight Mark and I look forward to is all the great fall art festivals in both the DC area and ones that are a fun road trip (or date night) away. Festivals really scratch that “thrill of the hunt” urge for me. There’s nothing like finding an original piece of art that personally speaks to you and is just perfect for your space. Plus, it’s really lovely to meet the artists face-to-face and learn more about what inspires their craft.
So many people we meet are not sure where (or how) to find original art and when they do find a piece they need help placing and hanging it. Manlove and Company Interiors specializes in connecting clients with artists. We source original art for many of our projects. And we have an amazing art hanger that can do the job right.
Get your calendar ready because below we’ve pulled together a Fall festival list that includes a few of our favorite events as well as a new discovery or two.
2022 FALL FINE ART FESTIVALS
Alexandria Old Town Art Festival
September 17-18 from 10am to 5pm
300 John Carlyle St., Alexandria, VA
Free admission
Note: Mark and I have been to this event several times. The festival is surrounded by great restaurants and makes for a great day out in Old Town.
Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show
September 16-18, 2022
Fri & Sat 11am to 6pm, Sun 11am to 5pm
210 W Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA 19103
Free admission
Note: Mark and I went to this event for the first time last year and it was one of the best art festivals we’ve ever been to. Founded in 1928, and run by a committee of artists, the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show is the oldest outdoor art show in the country. And since the event is located in center-city Philadelphia, there’s plenty to do and see so make this one an overnight getaway.
Bethesda Row Arts Festival
October 8-9
Sat 11am to 6pm, Sun 10am to 5pm
Bethesda Row, Bethesda, MD
Free admission
Note: We have been to this event and have recommended it for clients – who have purchased pieces on the spot!
PRO TIP: Some artists will let you borrow a piece to see it in your home, so don’t be shy to ask!
Get out there and buy some original art. You’ll be thrilled that you did. And if you see us be sure to say “hi.”
